You can fill the different effects like two color shade, pattern, picture etc in the object by this option.  Steps:-

Click on the Object and select Fill Color Option as shown in the picture:

-Right click on the object.
-Select the format object option.
-Open the color drop down list. Select the fill effect option.
(A dialog box of the fill effect will open, with four tags.)

Gradient – to fill the two color shade
Texture – to fill the pre-defined picture like styles.
Pattern – to fill the pattern of the colored lines and the background
Picture – to fill the picture in the object.
Select any of the options and click on OK.
