File

File menu performs the operations on the file like saving, opening and printing a file etc.

How to save a Fie?

We can store our work we have done in the document. To save a File –

-File - Save

-Fill the name of the File in the Save as Dialog box and click on Save button.

How to Open a File?

We can open the stored file. To open a File –

-File - Open

-Click on the File from the Open Dialog box and click on open button.

What is Save as option?

We can create the copy of the file with the additional changes. 

-File - Save as

-Fill the name of the File in the Save as Dialog box and click on Save button.

What is Save as web page option?

This option will save our file as a web page. When we open this file it will open in the web browser. To save a file as a web page –

-File - Save as Web Page

-Fill the name of the File in the Save as Dialog box and click on Save button.

What is Page Setup option?

We can set the free space around a page left, right, top, bottom etc. for printing. This free space is called margins. We can also set the Landscape and the Portrait setting of the page.

What is Print Preview?

By this option we can see that how our information will be printed on the paper. It shows the margins around the text.

-File - Print Preview

What is web page preview?

By this option, we can see that how our document will look in the web browser.

-File - Web Page Preview

What is print option?

By this option we can print our file on the paper

File - Print

(Print dialog box will appear)

Select the following options and click Ok button
