(This will open a dialog box with following options)
Number
Alignment
By this we can set the alignment of the text in the cell. it can also change the direction of the text.
Font
It is used to change the font style, size and color etc.
Border
It is used to apply the border to the cells.
Pattern
It is used to change the pattern of the cell background.
Protection
It used to keep the sheet protected or hidden.
What is row and column formatting?
This option is used to format the rows and columns like setting their height and width. This option is also used to hide and unhide the row or column.
-Format - Row/Column
-It will further has the options like – Autofit, height/width, hide/unhide.
What is sheet formatting?
It has the options like; changing the name, background and the color of the sheet tabs.
Format - sheet. (This will show following options)
Name
It is used to change the name of the sheet.
Hide
It is used to hide the sheet.
Unhide
It is used to show the hidden sheet.
Background
It is used to change the background of the sheet.
Tab color
It is used to change the color of the Sheet Tabs.
What is auto format?
This option is used to format the sheet according the pre-defined styles.
You can also change the font, border, pattern, alignment etc of the auto formatted style.
-Select the range of cells.
-Format - Auto format.
(A dialog box will open),
-Select the style.
What is conditional formatting?
This option is used to change the formatting of the according to the condition. Suppose, if you want to format the marks of the student below 33, then you can apply the condition with following way –
-Select the range of cells.
Format - Conditional Formatting.
-Cell value is, (select the less than), and type 33 in the box.
-Now click on the Format button apply the formatting.
If you delete the formatting then, click on the delete button
